Sunday evenings are treasured times for us to gather in a casual context, share with one another what God has been doing in our lives, and study together about specific topics of faith. The worship begins at 6:30 in our old sanctuary. Nursery is available for children up to 4 years old, and Junior Choir (for K to 6th grade) rehearses in the basement fellowship hall during the service. We open the service with a package of hymns, between which we interweave announcements, prayer, special music, and testimonies. We then proceed with our study, which usually includes times of teaching (often through a video) and large group interaction. Recent studies have included everything from Money Management to Creationism to the Minor Prophets. We seek to end by 7:30, allowing plenty of time for families to fellowship afterward and still arrive home at a decent hour.
Note: Sunday evenings are our most flexible time of gathering. So, while the above description will be accurate a majority of Sundays, we also use these evenings for special fellowship and outreach events. Fellowship dinners, concerts, musicals, movies, and more are all often scheduled on Sunday nights.
